Your O county stoke can go here.
From this evening.

Forgot my ski boots this morning, so hiked. Conversely, this made it easier to bring the boots back down to the furnace afterwards. They were already there. This observation may be more appropriate for the Profound thought thread.
Ruby-seeking Zeke missile. The deeper drifts on the open slope turn the dog crazy dial way up.
I have to get a wide angle camera into the truck to show how utterly insane driving with the dogs is. Especially when passing pastures with cows in them. Zeke is crowding me out because he's trying to see around the rear view mirror.

Deep in the orange-ness yesterday. Low 40's. Patterned bases worked well. Running with the pack, as usual.
Into the woods with on-the-fly trail maintenance.
Rock maple workout.
Got to a steep part where I finally needed skins and thought "don't want to ski down this by headlamp". U-turn. Quite passable downhill with just enough cover for rocks and downed trees along low risk lines. Back at the car at dark. Sketchy boy needs to be fed away from the others to avoid dogflagration.

From meadow dipping...
...to meadow skipping. Such is the winter of 2016.

I've taken to pretending it's November and the snow will be coming soon.
